The only part of this product that works in the rf usb dongle which is recognized on my mac and pc but the keyboard itself will not sync. It is possible I am not correctly syncing it but there are no instructions with the keyboard. I tried to get support from the Adesso website but there is no mention of the WKB-3000UB and they have yet to respond to my emails requesting support. I wouldn’t recommend this as I have yet to see it work once.

I’m rather certain that the designers of the keyboard envisioned it’s use by couch potatoes who want to kick back in their sofas and manipulate vast home entertainment systems, or by corporate executives in skyscraper corner offices who sit behind huge glass desks and need a way to control a 72″ plasma display on the other side of the in-office putting green as they explain to their corporate minions their lastest plans for global domination.
But what it apparently wasn’t designed for was treadmill use. You see, I have a flat panel computer monitor above my treadmill, and one day I got the idea that if I had a keyboard up there, I could do all kinds of stuff on the computer while I walked the calories away. So, I bought this keyboard based on the reviews and here’s the scoop.
First, installation was super easy. I have a Windows 2000 machine and a Vista 32 machine, and all I had to do was plug the dongle into a USB port and I’m good to go in a few seconds. That was unexpectedly fast!
However, I discovered once I started walking on the treadmill that the trackball is so light and sensitive that simply touching it, or un-touching it after positioning the mouse, causes the trackball to move and thus moves the mouse pointer a significant number of pixels. If the track ball had been somewhat heavy (like quality trackballs are) then this wouldn’t happen.
In other words, I’ve found it almost impossible to put my finger on the trackball or take my finger off it without causing the cursor to move in a way I don’t want it to. This to me is a design flaw and renders this keyboard almost useless for anyone who is doing computer stuff and not remaining perfectly still.
So, if you’re looking for a keyboard for your treadmill workstation, you’ll find this keyboard workable but very tedious to use.

just some times (few) cursor stops and after 5 seconds it starts to work again…

Poor quality…Chinese junk. The M key didn’t even work straight out of the box. Cheap feel…trackball is NOT smooth…very jerky. Don’t waste your money. I’m still waiting to hear back from the “Electrone” company so I can get a refund.

I just got this today in the mail and it was defective out of the box. At first I thought it was working fine, but then when I started typing I noticed something very strange. Some how, the toggle for the “FN” key was backwards! So when I pressed J,K,L I got 1,2,3 for example. When I held down the FN key, the letters would type like normal. Well as you would imagine this made the whole thing totally worthless. I went a head and am trying to replace it. From what I tried it did seem to work from at least 20 feet.
UPDATE: We’ll I just got a replacement free of charge from Amazon and that one has the exact same problem as the first. I guess the whole batch has the same problem. Needless to say this one is going back to and I’m giving up on this company. Its a real shame to because I really like the idea of this thing and the way its supposed to work is perfect for what I want to do. I can’t believe this company can stay in business. Amazon should stop carrying their products because its just costing Amazon money shipping this crap all over the place.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
